Better Than Sex Dessert Restaurant Coming to Ivanhoe Village

According to food guru Scott Joseph, the Key West dessert restaurant Better Than Sex (Website | Facebook) is opening an Orlando location in Ivanhoe Village at 1905 N Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32804 sometime after August. It's owners are a married couple, pictured below. The husband runs the business side and is 100% self-taught and the wife runs the baking side and has no formal training in baking. They're taking over the space currently housing Wolfie's Pizza Mia (1905 N Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32804) in August.

The interior of the Key West location is dripping in red pain and dappled with candles and a few miniature chandeliers. 

They apparently considered a Winter Park location before choosing the Ivanhoe Village one. This is a photo of the recently shuttered The Big Cheese, a tiki-themed grilled cheese restaurant opened and closed by the owners of The Big Cheese food truck. 

Canoodle my Canolli Tacos: Our twist on an iconic dessert. Sweet cinnamon tortilla taco shells mounted on top of a bed of semi-sweet chocolate. Fondled with our version of a ricotta & dark chocolate Chip Canolli filling.

Apple Pie Moonshine: Chef Dani's interpretation includes spice. Drunken apples and a caramel/white chocolate drizzle.
Pumpkin pie: signature cinnamon and nutmeg pumpkin pie with a walnut crunch brûlée on top served with a honey molasses whipped cream and cheesecake ice cream.
Twist 'n Stout: chocolate stout cake, tart chocolate frosting, stout beer glaze, salted caramel and Irish cream ice cream
Pumpkin Pleasure: signature 'pumpin' pie layered in between a chocolate shortbread crust and a cocoa Maple mousse on top served with cheesecake ice cream and a salted maple honeycomb candy.
Strawberry Seduction: pistachio shortcake with white choc. Ganache, layered between white choc. Mousse. Topped with port wine strawberries - strawberry Shiraz granita and a caramel candied strawberry.

Fork You Fondue: chilled cheesecake fondue with cinnamon sugar donut holes for dipping

Smooth Operator (adult s'mores): toasted marshmallow meringue cookies between layers of chocolate truffle and marshmallow creme. Poked with chocolate Stout glaze and graham cracker tuille.
