Luma on Park, Prato and Slate get Sister Restaurant Canvas in Lake Nona

By Mark Baratelli

Canvas, a 278-seat dinner-only restaurant, is opening January 2016 in Lake Nona at the Laureate Park Village Center.

The interior will feature an exhibition-style kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows, banquettes and a large wooden bar.

The restaurant will have a classic American chef-driven menu and offer waterfront views on a private lake. The menu will include local ingredients and Florida seafood.

To-go items for breakfast and lunch will be offered at the Canvas Market, located inside the restaurant. It will have a communal table, coffee, juices and smoothies. The market will also contain a curated selection of housewares, books and locally-made goods, along with the Lake Nona Info Center.

The restaurant is hiring (apply online) Nov 30-Dec 5 during an employment open house at the Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott in the Lake Nona Town Center.

Concentrics Restaurants (Website), the restaurant operating group responsible for Luma on Park, Prato and Slate, have partnered with Tavistock Restaurant Collection (Website) and Tavistock Development Company (Website) to bring sister restaurant Canvas to Orlando.
