Now in it's 4th year, The Daily City's Cardboard Art Festival will be expanding to 10 days including 2 weekends for 2016! Mark your calendars for Friday July 22- 31st 2016

CALL TO ARTISTS

WHAT: 4th Annual Cardboard Art Festival - Orlando 2016

WHEN: July 22rd through July 31th, 2016

WHERE: Inside the
SoDo Shopping Center at S Orange Ave & Grant St

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Cardboard is something we pack up, ship off or store away. But did you know it's one of the most-loved mediums to work in for artists all over the world? TheDailyCity.com will celebrate their work for the third year in a row with four days of parties, kids events, and open gallery hours inside an empty storefront in Orlando, Florida.




REQUIREMENTS:
- Image(s) of previous work (must provide at least 1, maximum of 5). These can be of any medium but cardboard art/sculpture are preferred.

- Submission entries. These can consist of concept ideas for cardboard art or images of completed cardboard artwork. Combined maximum of 3 pieces total.

- $10 Application Fee


RULES OF ENTRY:
- A non-refundable application fee of $10 is required. One application per artist/ artist group.

- All works must be original and completed on time. Incomplete work will not be shown in the festival.

- Limit of 3 concept ideas per artist on application. Please include an estimate of how many pieces would be created per concept on application, space needed and any additional info that will be helpful.

- Jury decisions are final.

- No substitutions will be shown in the festival (i.e. concepts or submissions selected for the festival may not be replaced with a different concept or submission at the event). Event staff reserves the right to disqualify your piece(s) in this case.

- Artists will be notified via email of acceptance or rejection into the festival not later than June 17th. This email will include dates of drop-offs, photo shoots, pick-ups and shipping procedures.

- All artists are responsible for providing their own insurance. While The Daily City/Cardboard Art Festival will take all precautions against theft and damage, they bear no responsibility for loss or damage to the artwork before, during or after the event.

- All accepted artwork will stay at the Cardboard Art Festival for the duration of the festival unless otherwise authorized by the directors. This is for both sold and unsold artwork.

- The genres and subject matter of Cardboard Art Festival submissions are open however graphic sexual or violent content will not be permitted. For questions please email info@cardboardartfestival.com.

- Artists take home 90% of cash sales and 85% credit card sales. Checks for all art sales will be ready 7-10 after the close of the festival.

- All art sales must go through the Cardboard Art Festival.

- Artworks can have the possibility to hang on walls, hang from ceiling, set on the floor or set on pedestals.
All artwork must be hang/ display ready. Please specify your hanging/ foot print needs on your application.
