Audubon Park Garden District's New Neighbor is a 357-Unit Apartment Complex called Alexan at Audubon

Orlando's Audubon Park Garden District was just named the country's best Main Street program. Just down the street is Orlando Fashion Square. While at first glance neither has anything to do with the other, upon further investigation, Orlando Fashion Square has a lot to offer the hopping Main Street district.

Orlando Fashion Square has the highest intensities of residential, commercial, office, industrial, recreational and cultural facilities to be found anywhere outside of Downtown Orlando.

Orlando Fashion Square is at a scale intended to serve an entire metropolitan area.

Orlando Fashion Square is approved for the following:
  1. 593 multifamily residential units
  2. 1,387,196 sq. ft. of retail
  3. 36,300 sq. ft. school
  4. 6,300 sq. ft. of office
  5. 175 hotel rooms
  6. 2,150 theater seats
  7. 7,746 parking spaces
One major thing Orlando Fashion Square can offer is more housing in the area according to Orlando Sentinel.

Orlando Fashion Square is requesting the city to allow a 4-story 357 unit multi-family development on their property which currently houses the following:
  1. Anthem College building (closed)
  2. surface parking
  3. bike trail
  4. retention pond
The multi-family residential development currently called "Alexan at Audubon" is comprised of two parts:
  1. the multifamily portion of the site (15.03 acres): a mix of 1-3 bedrooms units in eight three and four story buildings with a clubhouse and pool,  558 parking spaces, a maintenance building and garages.
  2. Fox St. extension and Cady Way Bike Trail redevelopment (2.43 acres): The Cady Way Bike Trail will also be improved with a trailhead and additional parking.
