A 1922 building at 536 W Church Street (MAP) will soon house a barbershop bar.
Styles of Life II wants to continue operations as a barbershop and salon but proposed to the Board of Zoning Adjustment that they start offering beer and wine for onsite consumption to clients.
The only hitch is that the barbershop/salon is 392 feet away from Shiloh Baptist Church of Orlando.
The minimum distance is 1,000 feet.
However, (1) there are already a bunch of bars nearby and (2) the proposed use is in-line with the existing and envisioned character of the neighborhood.
