The Lake Eola Heights Community Garden (Pinterest) will be built on 1.3 acres at 406 E. Amelia St (MAP). They've presented a request for a Conditional Use Permit for the community garden at the Broadway Methodist Church in the Lake Eola Heights neighborhood.
There will be 36 plots with each costing just $30 per year.
There's an info meeting Sunday July 10th at 3pm at the Broadway United Methodist Church of Orlando at 406 E Amelia Street.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the logistics of the next phase of our Community Garden. Back in April they applied for the Mayor's Matching Grant and were approved.
Plots will be available for $30 per year. Several plots available for anyone interested in joining and tendering a plot. People can still participate even if they don't want to tender a plot. They need volunteers to help build the required fence and garden plots. The projected dates will be Saturday, July 30, Aug 6 and Aug 13 (all weather permitting).
