2016 State of Downtown Orlando Address at Bob Carr Theater

This is a photo of Bob Carr, the namesake of the 1978 theatre built on the site of the former 1926 building known as the Municipal Auditorium. All that remains of the "Muni Aud" as locals called it are the three front walls. The original building was gutted.

The annual State of Downtown Address was created in 1982 as a fundraising event for the Downtown Orlando Partnership (Website) which mission is to enhance business and community relationships through collaborative events and initiatives in Downtown Orlando.

The next State of Downtown Address will be delivered on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Bob Carr Theater (401 West Livingston St., Orlando, FL 32801) which was recently deemed a historic landmark despite 99% of it having been constructed in 1978.

Tickets are $45 for DOP members and $60 for nonmembers. Advanced registration is required. Register online.

Mayor Dyer will share the latest on the continued revitalization of Downtown Orlando, as well as plans and advancements for the community.
