New Chile Mocha Adds Spice to Starbucks Menu

Starbucks debuted a new Fall drink called the "Chile Mocha" on September 1st.  Instead of a cocoa flavored syrup, the drink will feature cocoa powder infused with cinnamon. The powder is added to the milk and both are steamed together. Espresso and whipped cream are added per a usual mocha and topped with a few shakes of cayenne pepper, ancho chile, paprika, sea salt, cinnamon and sugar.

The team at Starbucks responsible for creating the drink was inspired by other sweet and spicy flavors such as mole, horchata and a thick Mexican drink called champurrado.

Also, fans of the pumpkin spice latte can order it early before the debut date (Sept 6th) using an early access code from @TheRealPSL or just stop by a Starbucks store.
