Horse Drawn Carriages Can Operate on Orlando Streets

The operation of a horse drawn vehicle on public streets for the purposes of transporting customers in Orlando is allowed thanks to City of Orlando code Chapter 6 Article 2 Section 6.03. The application process is lengthy and the permit costs $100. It must be renewed annually.

The City defines a horse drawn vehicle as the following: Any vehicle which is operated or pulled by a horse, mule or any other beast of burden which may be hired for the transportation of passengers and which is operated within the corporate limits of the City of Orlando.
