Monthly Orlando Food Truck Talk Series at Orlando Public Library

The Daily City is hosting a once-a-month food truck gab fest called "Orlando Food Truck Talk Series" Mondays, July 10, August 14 and September 11 5pm-7pm in the Albertson Room (3rd Floor) at the Orlando Public Library, 101 E Central Blvd, Orlando, FL 32801 (MAP).

The talks are open to food truck owners, fans, future owners and anyone curious about this industry. The local food truck industry is a mystery to some and a day-to-day all-encompasing lifestyle to others. This talk series is for both types of people and everyone in between.

The topics will differ from month to month. There will be a casual, group atmosphere where discussion and interaction is welcome.

Orlando has many food trucks and works totally different from any city in the nation. It operates as a regional event model. A truck can be located in Orlando but, thanks to the special events that feature food trucks exclusively, these local mobile businesses can have presence in the outlying towns and cities all over Central Florida. Once a truck gets out there and is known, they make their income from private events, caterings, lunches and special events.

The Host: Mark Baratelli was inducted into the Orlando Sentinel Culinary Hall of Fame, is an Orlando Business Journal 40 Under 40 and was the first person in the nation to create a branded traveling food truck event in 2011. He runs The Daily City's Food Truck Bazaar with 39 tested trucks, 10 cities and over 800 events executed.
