The owners of Bodega, a start-up that envisions apartment buildings across the country equipped with a glass-fronted wooden bookcase acting as a small grocery store, caught flack when they were introduced to the world in a horridly-titled Fast Company article which claimed they wanted to put real Bodegas out of business. To be fair to the company's creators, that title wasn't fair at all.
The owners responded to the online backlash in a blog post. You can read it here.
"We want to bring commerce to places where commerce currently doesn’t exist. Rather than take away jobs, we hope Bodega will help create them. We see a future where anyone can own and operate a Bodega — delivering relevant items and a great retail experience to places no corner store would ever open."
