Orlando's first food hall, Market on Magnolia, went into its soft opening phase last week. The facility contains 3 food vendors (Da Kine Poke, Gnarly Barley, and Sauce'd Wood Fired Pizzas) and a full bar with 40 draft beers, signature craft cocktails and wine. It's located inside the old Frank N Steins at 150 S. Magnolia Ave. in downtown Orlando (MAP). If you've been reading the daily city you know I've been BEGGING for a food hall. So now we have Market on Magnolia downtown, in the Hourglass District we'll have Hourglass Market in October and eventually Mister Downtown Craig Ustler will fill the first floor of one of his eventually-to-be-built buildings in the Creative Village with a food hall.

A new donut shop has arrived in Winter Park called Donut Central & Fuelpresso... Fuel... presso... The shop opened September 20th and is located at 495 N Semoran Blvd. (MAP). No offense but don't we all consider this fake Winter Park? I know I do. They serve craft coffee and all their donuts are homemade. Fuel... Presso??? The hell?

Hembree Construction asked the City for a demolition permit for the former home of WDBO at 68 S. Ivanhoe Blvd (MAP). The demolition permit application lists the demo date as 9/18. The type of demolition, if approved, is to be bulldozer and backhoe. Built in 1947, the one-story building contains 7,800 square feet. According to the County, the property is valued at $2.1 million.

Phas3 is a new clothing and used book shop... with a beer and wine license. Yay drunk shopping! It's in in the former Spacebar bar space (!) in the Milk District. It's in soft opening mode right now and has a multi-day launch October 12 thru the 14th. It has vintage clothing, new locally-designed t-shirts and coffee. I am thrilled for the local businesses getting a permanent spot to sell their stuff but I'm old and I don't drink so I'll never go there. I can't even go to Tasty Tuesdays in that hood I'm so old. I'm so old... ugh...

‪When you think Orange Blossom Trail and OBT I don't know what you think, but I think antiques! Now! There's a brand new downtown Orlando antiques shop called ‬Orange Blossom Market. We've got a video walk thru of the shop on the site. It's got 2,000 sq ft of antiques and collectibles and opened a little over a month ago. We met the owners and they said they want to be part of the effort to build up and grow the OBT and Parramore area of downtown. You can visit this new antique store Thursday thru Saturday 10am-4pm at 1025 S. Orange Blossom Trail. My two cents - it's not a chain, it's not a soccer stadium and it's not a freaking brewery. I'm in!
