5 Lake Nona Planned Development Amendments

The Planned Development Zoning for the Lake Nona PD will be amended with regards to development standards, the mix of uses and conditions for development for the property shown in the renderings below. Master Plan 8.5 will be replaced by Master Plan 8.6. The “Limits of Residential Development” plans and “Conceptual Transit Corridor” plans will be replaced by updated versions.

This PD amendment includes the following changes to the PD Development Plan: 
  1. Change land use from Airport Support District - Medium Intensity and Conservation to Civic and change height limit from 10 stories to 1 story to allow for a beach volleyball facility for Parcels 10C and Parcel 10D. 
  2. Change land use from Residential Neighborhood to Village Center and change height limit from 2 stories to 4 stories to allow for future mixed use development for Parcel 11A. 
  3. Change land use to Neighborhood Center and change height limit to 3 stories to allow for residential development for Parcel 28F. 
  4. Revise development standards to allow alternative setbacks at the Lake Nona Village Center for Parcel 7. 
  5. Revise Exhibit "E" Limits of Residential Development and Exhibit "F" Conceptual Transit Alignment 

The Lake Nona PD has had several amendments and ordinances approved by City Council through the years:
  1. October 15, 2001, the City Council approved an ordinance establishing a Planned Development zoning district on the Property
  2. October 25, 2004, the City Council approved an ordinance amending and restating the PD
  3. July 25, 2005, the City Council approved an ordinance amending the PD
  4. August 20, 2007, the City Council approved an ordinance amending and restating
  5. March 17, 2008, the Orlando City Council approved an ordinance amending the PD
  6. June 18, 2012, the Orlando City Council approved an ordinance amending the PD
  7. October 21, 2013, the Orlando City Council approved an ordinance amending the PD
  8. July 13, 2015, the Orlando City Council approved an ordinance amending the PD
  9. September 26, 2016, the Orlando City Council approved an ordinance amending the PD
  10. October 23, 2017, the Orlando City Council approved an ordinance amending the PD
