The City of Orlando was one of only 3 cities nationwide to be chosen for the Safe Streets Academy by the National Complete Streets Coalition. As part of the city's participation in the Safe Streets Academy, a 4-week-long demonstration project will be coming to Curry Ford Road.
City Staff will be conducting the Curry Ford Demonstration Project Community Meeting Thursday, February 22 6:30-8:00pm at Dover Shores Community Center at 1400 Gaston Foster Road.
This demonstration project will improve safety along Curry Ford and make it more welcoming for people walking and biking. During the 4-week project, a section of Curry Ford Road will have reduced travel lanes, have bike lanes added in both directions, and will be getting new crosswalks.
