A Temporary Use Permit has been awarded for an approximate 30-space interim parking lot at 322 N. Parramore Avenue for the use of the Downtown Recreation Center for a period of two years. The Downtown Recreation Center had need for additional parking spots due to the construction of the UCF Downtown Campus and the reconfiguration of properties as the Creative Village develops.
The balance of existing parking for the Center is being lost to the UCF Downtown Campus. As such, there was a need to temporarily accommodate a parking lot for the Downtown Recreation Center prior to its anticipated move to the Grand Avenue School in the future.
The lot is a 30-space temporary parking lot at the northwest corner of Parramore Avenue and Bentley Street (322 N. Parramore Avenue).
The Temporary Use Permit also allows the Planning Official to extend the permit for two additional one-year terms.
