The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park is partnering with the Marilyn Horne Foundation to present baritone Lester Lynch as part of the Foundation's Artist in Residence Program.
Lester Lynch is recognized as one of today’s most promising Verdi baritones. Hailed by the New York Times as “magnificently forceful” for his Carnegie Hall performance at the Marilyn Horne Foundation Gala, Lynch has been praised for his performances at major opera companies throughout the world.
While in the Central Florida area, Mr. Lynch will be presenting programs at Apopka High School, Winter Park High School, Lake Howell High School, and Rock Lake Middle School. Mr. Lynch’s residency will culminate with a public recital in the John M. Tiedtke Concert Hall (map) on the campus of Rollins College on Thursday November 15 at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the recital are $15 for adults and $10 for students. All students in the participating schools will receive free admission. The recital repertoire will include spirituals, art songs, and opera arias.
