This photo has nothing to do with the film festival. It's just gay as hell.
Did you know Orlando has a gay-themed film festival, and has for 5 years? I didn't. Here's a write-up from a while ago about it from The Watermark newspaper:
Local power lesbian Margaret Nolan of Kangagirl Productions is taking over the Gay Orlando Film Festival. Chris Alexander-Manley and Tommy Manley of GayDays.com gave up the reigns to the film fest earlier this year to focus on other business ventures but, Nolan assures us, "The festival will still live on!"And here's the official description off the Enzian website:
Nolan says that her fellow festival "spearheaders"/screeners are Matthew Curtis of the Enzian and Florida Film Festival and Barry Sandler, a UCF professor best known for penning the 1980s gay film classic Making Love. The 6th annual Gay Orlando Film Festival is set for October 25-26.
6th Annual Gay Orlando Film FestivalSo much gay stuff in Orlando these days: the theatre festival, the film festival, Fringe...
Saturday and Sunday
OCTOBER 25 & 26, 2008In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Orlando Gay & Lesbian Film Series, Enzian teamed up with GayOrlando.com to produce the first Gay Orlando Film Festival in 2003. The Film Series has been a Central Florida tradition since 1994 bringing the community GLBT-positive films for exclusive screenings.
This year, the 6th Annual GayOrlando Film Festival (Saturday and Sunday, October 25 & 26, 2008) will continue the tradition with films that not only portray positive images, but that appeal to all film enthusiasts.
