September 11th, you're going to the GLBT Theatre Festival fundraiser at Hamburger Marys. Well, guess what's coming up September 15th? Another theatre-centric fundraiser.
But don't cringe. This one will be just as good as the GLBT one. You should go to the Orlando Theatre Project's fundraiser (details) Monday, September 15 at the Goldman Theater at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre/Center/Pre-Fringe Building, despite the over-priced tickets ($30 single, $50 couple) for two reasons:
Luerne Herrera
Laura Hodos
They will be singing and they will be good. Like, real good. There are a slew of other performers who will be performing that night who will also be good, not to decrease their importance or talents, but these two, when they get on stage, you need to drive to the stage and sit down and watch. Seriously. Along with the singers will be funnyman Eric Pinder, who will somehow play the character of "Man in Chair" from Broadway's "The Drowsey Chaperone." I know he will make that work.
Food, drinks, raffle, theatre folk a-schmoozing, Laura, Luerne... many reasons to go to this event and support the Orlando Theatre Project.
