With many readers of this blog involved in theatre, I thought you guys might want to see how the October 16, 2008 unveiling/opening of the brand new TKTS ticket booth in Times Square, New York City went down.

For those of you not into theatre, TKTS is a ticket booth in Times Square, New York City, that sells half-price tickets to Broadway and Off Broadway musicals and straight plays. (All photo and video content is property of The Daily City and cannot be used without written permission.)

Mayor Michael Bloomberg speaking. The audio was not optimized for those of us outside the Press/VIP barricade. I did make out the first part. He's reciting lyrics "Give my regards to Broadway. Remember me to Harold Square." And then he says something like, "Well now it's Duffy Square."
