Orlando was one of eight cities Sunday to premier "the new Rocky Horror Picture show," Repo: The Genetic Opera. LionsGate Films doesn't think there's an audience for the film, according the film's director Darren Lynn Bousman. Bousman, who is also the director of the Saw films (2,3 and 4) is a graduate of Full Sail and gave a Q&A after the film's premier at Enzian.
According to a source, the film might actually be the new Rocky Horror. The two showings Sunday were sold out with a standby line waiting to get in. Folks drove from as far as Jacksonville and Tampa. "When we got there at 9:10 for a 10:00 screening there was already a line almost half (the length of) the building. It was pretty crazy. People-dressed-up-in-character crazy!"
