For an annual fee of roughly $25 and for an hourly fee of about $8, residents can obtain the use of a car without the large costs associated with purchase. The hourly charges cover insurance, fuel, maintenance, and the rental rate. Depending on usage, this can be cheaper than owning a car. DDOT is partnering with Zipcar and Flexcar.
