Orlando Philharmonic Summer Series begins

P1190555
The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra begins its Sounds of Summer Series with a program featuring the popular ensemble, Sovereign Brass on Monday, June 22, 7:00 PM in the Margeson Theater in the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 E. Rollins Street, Orlando.

The members of Sovereign Brass, known for their lighthearted programs of music and humor, have made a "bet" with the Philharmonic's management: Can these merry mirth-makers stifle themselves long enough to do a full recital of serious music? Can they perform an entire program of music from the Classical, Renaissance, Baroque and Romantic eras with straight faces? They think that they can – but we'll have to find out at You Can't Be Serious! Their program highlights brass selections that span 400 years, and features a variety of styles and national flavors. This concert is sure to be an audience favorite.
