The third MOOM was 8am Thursday August 14, 2009 at Roho Art & Coffee on Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando. We had a great turnout and Roho was very accommodating. MOOM will continue even after I am in NYC, so stay tuned for the announcement of the next one and don't miss it!
What is MOOM? | Indie producers unite at the ungodly hour of 8am for MOOM, a coffee meetup for indie producers (from any genre) to come in to brainstorm, talk about their upcoming projects, share resources, ask for help, give help and drink coffee. One hour. In out. Sponsored by The Daily City.
And what is an Indie Producer? Me, for example. I produce a blog, a taco truck taste test, a mobile art show and an improv festival. You may produce visual art. Or you may be a dance choreographer/producer. Any medium, any interest. The point is, no matter the medium, we all face the same shit: press releases, emails, due dates, contacting donors, securing space. All are welcome to the MOOM, including press. Its just coffee and brainstorming.
