P1270920The city has ok'd five new automated cameras to catch red light runners. Fines are $125 for the first two violations, $250 for subsequent violations. The original cameras brought in $2.9 million in fines for the city. The new cameras will be installed at Edgewater Drive and Princeton Street, Smith Street and Westmoreland Avenue, Princeton Street and Formosa Avenue, International Drive and Universal Boulevard, and Boggy Creek Road and Landstreet Road.

P1260821The new fire station downtown cost $21 million to build and includes a six thousand dollar custom cabinet for the chief and a $1,300 mailbox/safe combo. The dark brick looks so dated, too.
