The Center (946 N. Mills Avenue) and several businesses in the Mills 50 District were recently vandalized with some anti-gay spray painting. I suggested they get some artists, photographers, sketchers and document the vandalism, then maybe do an art show and turn the whole effort on its ear. Well, Logan Donahoo and his gang of kabuki nuns did me one better by organizing a public mural painting project on December 13, 2009. At 11am, a gaggle of supporters began the task and by nightfall, a majority of the mural work was complete.
The wall was laid out on paper and the actual wall itself had been stenciled and color coded in a paint-by-number fashion.
