American Ghost Adventures

Ever wanted to be a Ghost Hunter or  Ghost Buster? Well you have your chance and it's right here in Orlando. American Ghost Adventures offers walking tours of downtown Orlando and more, and I got to try it this week.

I met Chris, one of the owners of American Ghost Adventures and our guide for the night, Robert in front of the Orange County Regional History Center. Then we were off and walking around downtown. The guides are very knowledgeable not only about ghosts, hauntings and the paranormal but also the history of downtown and the many buildings.

Some of my favorites stops on the tour were Carey Hand Building, the site of Orlando's first full service funeral home and the Church Street Station area. Even with Orlando being a transient town, there is still history to be found.

During the second part of the tour, guests are brought into buildings and given equipment to hunt for their selves. Tonight we visited the History Museum which was Orange County's original courthouse.

American Ghost Adventures offer tours year round but October is usually their busiest month so book early! They also offer a Haunted Pub Tour which sounds like a blast. The pub tour offers happy hour drink specials through out the night at the different stops.

Did I come away with proof on ghosts tonight... I really don't know. What I do know is I plan on going back for more! And who knows, maybe next time I'll get the proof! Watch out Steve and Tango!
