
Come Out With Pride is Saturday October 8, 2011 from 12pm-9pm around Lake Eola. There will be 110 vendors in three areas (a record), live music, the returning Disney Kids Zone and Central Florida’s LGBT History Project which showcase over 25 years of LGBT history in Central Florida and beyond.

On the main stage, an outstanding performance, Break Through: Bringing Down the Barriers, an eye-opening show on overcoming the limiting societal norms will be from 2:00- 3:00 pm, as well as Orlando’s own Gay Chorus at 7:00pm. Orlando’s Most Colorful Parade will be kicked off at 4:00 pm by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. For the first time in Pride’s history, one of only two chances a year to see Orlando’s beautiful Lake Eola’s sky light by fireworks will be help at 8:00pm with “Fashionwerks in the Sky”.
The kick off ceremony is Thursday October 6, 2011, 7pm-2am, at The Abbey (100 S. Eola Drive Suite 100, Orlando, FL 32801 ) as a way to introduce the theme, support the local community and celebrate LGBT and allies. There will also be 8 talented fashion students from the International Academy of Design & Technology that compete to have the winning design featured in Saturdays Pride parade. There will also be live art, a silent auction, a DJ and a cash bar. There is no cover but VIP tickets can be purchased.
