BEST COAST play The Social tonight, with support from Those Darlins (Info and Tickets)
It must be the summer, because everyone's hair is melting, and recent SPIN Magazine cover stars Best Coast are coming to town. They've got a great new record called 'The Only Place' which sounds kinda like their last album, but in a good way. The songs are still fairly simple and lightweight, but they can convey heartbreak, sadness, and the occasional burst of teenage escapism and joy, in a way that I feel a little too old to enjoy, but still enjoy all the same. Put on some shorts, put the top down on your convertible, and head to The Social. This is the only place to be.
