Microsoft Store in Florida Mall Grand Opening

On Thursday, August 16, 2012, the Microsoft Store (FacebookTwitter, Website) will have its Grand Opening ceremony at 9:30am at The Florida Mall (8001 South Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32809). Two days later, Flo Rida will perform there at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012. The Microsoft Store will donate $1 million in software at the grand opening to local youth organizations.

We first shared this in December 2011 as a rumor we found on Twitter that said that Harry and David, Williams Sanoma and The Pottery Barn were shutting down and being replaced by A Microsoft Store and a Dell Store. Then in January 2012 we shared another rumor that the stores were shut down to make way for a triple-size Apple store.

What the Microsoft Store will offer:
·         Offers an assortment of products, including Windows 7 PCs, Windows Phones, Kinect for Xbox 360, Office 2010 and more.
·         Offers complimentary tech trainings, business-ready PCs, phones and more. Great resource for small businesses!
·         Regularly hosts community organizations in the theater space and the employees are out in the community supporting local causes.
·         Customers can show their individual style through a partnership with Skinit. Customers can design their own lids and skins for not only laptops, but also phones and Xbox.
