The 2012 winner of the Young Friends of the Osceola County Historical Society (OCHS) scholarship is Alexis Peña, a 2012 graduate of Gateway High School. She was a top contender in the history fair competition for not only Osceola County, but for the State of Florida as well.
This member and volunteer group was created to assist with the preservation and education of the residents and visitors regarding the rich past of Osceola County. They are sharing the vision with the historical society to instill a sense of place by inspiring an appreciation to the County’s culture and natural heritage while preserving a legacy for the future.
