A Musical Director of Musicals Does... a Cabaret?

The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series' next solo show is Chris Leavy in "They Don’t Write ‘Em Like That Anymore" October 24 & 25, 2012 at 7:30pm at the Winter Park Playhouse (711 Orange Avenue, Suite C Winter Park, FL 32789)Tickets are $20 and include a drink from the bar. They Don’t Write ‘Em Like That Anymore celebrates the Great American Songbook and features well-loved songs from Broadway, radio and film. Mr. Leavy has been the resident Musical Director at The Winter Park Playhouse for 6 years and has a career spanning over 30 years as a Music Director, accompanist, arranger, vocal coach and performer. At the Playhouse, Chris has performed in over 30 musicals, dozens of cabarets and arranged music for the original musical revues I Got Rhythm, Anything Cole, and the upcoming salute, Steppin’ Out With Irving Berlin. He has performed twice at Don’t Tell Mama in New York City and co-written and produced two successful original musicals at the Orlando Fringe Festival, Julie Bunny Must Die! and Fosgate Ferret Loan Officer.
