Legoland Florida Star Wars Mini-Land Opening Next Week

By Ken Storey

Legoland Florida will debut it's latest addition next Friday, November 9th.  The Star Wars themed mini-land features such Lego versions of Star Wars icons as the Lambda Shuttle, the spacecraft found in Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Scenes from each of the six live-action Star Wars movies, as well as a scene from the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars are featured in the new mini-land. Some of the 2,000 LEGO models will be more than 6-feet-tall. Interactive buttons will allow children to activate animations throughout the scenes. This is just the latest addition for the child focused amusement park, they also opened a water park (though it is now closed till Spring) and there are unconfirmed rumors of a new pirate land coming to the park.

The new land is not complete yet but the models have begun arriving.  Here are some pictures Legoland sent our way showing off the prep work happening for the new land.  For more information check out Legoland's website and if visiting don't forget that Legoland Florida has odd non-Florida like hours and is fully closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays
