Patti Murphy from Brevard County was robbed in a Islands of Adventure restroom Sunday when she sat her purse on the floor of the stall. A person in the stall next to hers attempted to to steal the contents of the purse by slicing a hole in the purse using a switchblade knife. When Murphy saw her purse move she attempted to reach for it at which time the switchblade cut her right arm, finger and ankle. She needed 27 stitches due to the lacerations. The attacker got away with $50 from the purse.

When Murphy sought help a Universal staff member reportedly told her that security was lacking in the park due to many of the security personnel focused on the evening Halloween Horror Nights event instead. No word on if Universal will help pay for Murphy's medical expenses as so far they've only offered 2 free theme park tickets to compensate for the attack.
