Yum Yum Holiday Shoppe Appears Exclusively at The Food Truck Bazaar

The owners of the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck, known for their amazing vintage cupcakes and fashionable food truck, have just announced a new project sure to delight the foodie on your shopping list.

The cupcake couple have announced the creation of the "Yum Yum Holiday Shoppe" housed inside their truck at all locations of The Food Truck Bazaar. Now through the end of December 2012, The Yum Yum Cupcake Truck won't just be a place to buy cupcakes. It will also offer gifts and sweet and adorable as their delicious treats. Three specialty hand-picked products created by artisanal food makers from around Central Florida will be sold from the truck to guests: Wondermade Marshmallows, Sweet Six Candy Co., and P is for Pie Bake Shop. These three brands were selected by the owners because they each displayed a passion for high quality desserts and an eye for branding and packaging.

Owner Joey Conicella explains where the idea for this new shop came from: "The holidays are such a fun time of year - especially when you are two gay guys who own a cupcake truck. There are so many things that we thought about doing - but at the end of the day I wanted there to be a way for our customers to get some Christmas shopping done when they come to their truck. Lets face it, cupcakes don't make great gifts. They don't wrap up very nicely, and most of them get eaten before they make it under the tree.

So, I thought it would be fun to create this "Shoppe within a Shop" concept. Only instead of being filled with Yum Yum products, its filled with other local sweets (that make much better gifts then cupcakes do!)"

Along with finding the Yum Yum Holiday Shoppe at The Food Truck Bazaar, you can also order gift baskets and bulk orders through the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck website.

The Three Brands:

Wondermade Marshmallows

Wondermade is an Orlando-based gourmet marshmallow maker. The marshmallows use cane sugar and "100% Sweet, Magic Air." Flavors include Bourbon, Guinness, Honey Pear, Apple Cinnamon, among others.

We interviewed Nathan Clark, founder of Wondermade, back in April. At that time the marshmallow company was just getting started. Nathan explained how Wondermade, and other hand made gourmet marshmallows, are different than that mass produced. "If you've only ever eaten mass-produced mallows, you're missing out on a world of taste. We love getting to introduce people to that taste adventure and watching people's faces the first time they experience a Wondermade marshmallow. They've got a bigger taste than most candies in a smaller package"

Sweet Six Candy Co.

Sweet Six is one family's 1956 personal family recipe now being shared with the world. Made in a family kitchen inside a Sarasota cottage, the treats are made from almost entirely organic ingredients.

With six flavors, along with the occasional seasonal flavor, Sweet Six is similar to maple candy or a praline but with a sweetness more akin to caramel. Its very thin. Leaving the piece in your mouth for a few minutes before eating it allows the full flavor to come through.

P is for Pie Bake Shop

P is for Pie Bake Shop is a Winter Park-based bake shop that uses 100% local, natural, seasonal ingredients in its gourmet mini pies & pie pops.
Tara Gould, the chef-owner, calls the process of making these amazing little baked her 'daily science experiment that is my bakery.'

The personal size pies and pie pops are great when each family member or party guest wants their own different flavor. Bringing a modern twist on the classic dessert P is Pie is the perfect complimentary sweet to the cupcakes of Yum Yum.
