      History
      • TheDailyCity.com's Mark Baratelli has been a proponent of food trucks since 2009 when he created Taco Truck Taste Test, a monthly food truck meet-up and TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show, a monthly art show in a moving van. In 2010, we blogged about Hell's Kitchen Food Truck Bazaar and suggested someone bring the idea to Orlando. No one did. In January 2011, the owner of Red Eye BBQ food truck suggested he try an event like the ones happening in Miami. Mark combined the two ideas, made an official announcement February 2, 2011 and watched it come to life March 29, 2011.
How do I get my truck in?
      • This is a curated, carefully selected group of trucks. Not all trucks are accepted. What we look for: creativity and originality. We do not allow hot dogs, popcorn, or fair food. This is a "foodie" event, for people who love to try new things and they expect the best. No tents or table vendors allowed. Email (1) one photo of your truck or cart and (2) one menu to thefoodtruckbazaar@thedailycity.com. If we are interested, we will ask for a tasting. If you pass the tasting, you're in. Again, we do *not* take every truck that applies. Thank you.
