Walt Disney World Rolls Out New Park Maps For the First Time in Over a Decade

In the first major overhaul since the late 1990s WDW will roll out a makeover to the park maps. WDW News Today is reporting that new park maps will be coming to the resort on March 3rd. The new maps will feature a QR code on the front of them that links to a new app on which guests can make reservations, access park information such as menus and where to find certain characters, and even be able to share their itineraries with their family and friends.

The new guide maps feature the same aesthetic as the app.  Also for a first time not all merchandise locations will be listed, instead only featuring select merchandise shops giving the new map a much more clutter free feeling.  The new maps will have small panel with special entertainment information but the majority of that information will be accessible via the app.  The new park maps also acknowledge the free Wi-Fi found throughout the resort, the first time that this service has been officially acknowledge by Disney.
