SeaWorld Area Sea Isle Resort Progresses

By Ken Storey

Someone seems to have hit the fast forward button on the new 356 unit Sea Isle Resort Apartments found at the corner of Central Florida Parkway and Westwood Boulevard along I-4.  The new apartments by local owner EPOCH Properties just broke ground in September 2012 but the majority of buildings already seem to ready for their exteriors.  The $45million development will feature 10 residential buildings, with 4 four-story buildings surrounding a central pond and 6 three-story buildings spread out over the rest of the 15.8 acre property.  The property was initially purchased for $7.1million. A clubhouse at the main entrance will feature a pool also overlooking the central pond along with a small walking path surrounding the pond.  The development should be finished by the 4th quarter of 2013.

Just across Central Florida Parkway from these new apartments a new 134 room Homewood Suites was just announced on Febuary 26, 2013.  That hotel should break ground by end of this year and be opened by 2015.  Both the hotel property and the Sea Isle property were sold to their current owners by previous owner Anheuser-Busch Foundation, the former owner of SeaWorld

It looks as though this SeaWorld themed sign and billboard visible from I-4 will be staying.
