Smithsonian Chief Curator Featured in Gallery Walk/Talk at Mennello

On Friday March 22, 2013 and Saturday March 23, 2013 Virginia M. Mecklenburg, the Chief Curator for the Smithsonian American Art Museum, will be doing a Gallery Walk/Talk at the Mennello Museum of American Art (900 E. Princeton St, Orlando, Fl 32803).  She will be walking through the current exhibit: African American Art: Harlem Renaissance, Civil Rights Era, and Beyond.  The exhibit was organized as a partnership with the Smithsonian American Art Museum and features 43 artists. Mennello is only one of seven museums in the nation to feature the traveling exhibit. The Walk/Talk is included with admission though reservations are recommended as space is very limited.
