Orlando's Latest Speakeasy Lounge Has No Opening Date and Was Proposed in 2011

6-25-13: This post was updated

The speakeasy-themed lounge called DTA (Website | Twitter | Facebook), which stands for Don't Tell Anyonewas announced in 2011. The space it's supposed to occupy is in an area called Eola Square, a short strip of bars and restaurants in downtown Orlando on Eola Drive between The Sanctuary and 101 EOLA condo buildings.

When complete, the 3,500 sq ft lounge won't have a sign on the door (it's a speakeasy. Shhh.), but will feature indoor and outdoor seating (doesn't outdoor seating "squeal" on the speakeasy concept?), a dance floor and a bar.

But when will it open? Since it's 2011 announcement, an opening date has yet to be announced.

This is not the only business in the Eola Square area with no opening date set. Lotus, Honey, Aura Bar and Restaurant are all set to open in Eola Square... we just don't know when yet. Aura Bar has been in the works for 101 Eola since at least 2011Hiring began quietly in late May and grand opening tickets are being offered with no date. Hiring has now begun for Lotus and Honey.

Oh, and they're all owned by the same company: Aura Florida Lounges.

Aura Lounges Florida's official website now features a countdown clock and 4 different concepts
Aura Bar's site still mentions Nick's and Prickly Pear in the Eola Square section.
