National Donut Day Promises Free Krispy Kreme

National Doughnut Day was established in 1938 by The Salvation Army to raise funds for people in need during the depression, and is observed every year on the first Friday of June. 

Not to be outdone by Dunkin Donuts' donut bacon sandwich, on National Donut Day (Friday, June 7, 2013) , Krispy Kreme (FacebookTwitter) is giving everyone one free doughnut (any variety) No purchase necessary. Pick one up at the two remaining Central Florida stores:

  1. Winter Park: 1031 S. Orlando Avenue (17-92), Winter Park, FL 32789. Open 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Sunday - Thursday) and 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Friday and Saturday)
  2. Kissimmee: 5310 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (192 / Mile Marker 11.5), Kissimmee, FL 34746, Now open 24 hours
Or if you're at the beach today there's a Krispy Kreme at 980 W. International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, Fl 32114. Open 24 hours
