Orlando Publishes Video Showing Off Ideas of What It Will Look Like in 2040

I first told you about Green Works Orlando’s new Envision 2040 design competition back in March, 2013. The competition asks the question ‘What will Orlando look like in 2040?’

Envision 2040 imagines an Orlando that has met many of the goals laid out for the city including; Green Economy, Local Food, Livability, improved Transportation, and improved Water systems.

In April I shared an amazing rendering of what Orlando would look like if I-4 was replaced with a park.  This is one of 16 ideas submitted to the program that the city has published.  Another includes details of what Rollins new Lake Nona campus could include.

The City of Orlando recently published a video in which it sums up many of the ideas submitted to the ongoing competition.  The video is a great summary of the ideas and helps provide a very interesting view of what the City fancies for the future of our community.
