Tommy Bahama's
9101 International Drive #1200
Orlando, Florida

Tommy Bahama's had me over for dinner on March 27, 2013. I invited my friend Janine. She always makes a good impression. Well, an impression.
The food I had was great. They created a tasting menu with mostly fish. Good thing I like fish. It was served nicely, and the flavors were decent.
The interior sags like a Jimmy Buffet moustache: noise absorbing surfaces are needed, the booth benches, need padding and the chandelier need to be replaced. The overall feel just doesn't reach whatever it's trying to reach. And with the excellent interiors of Cuba Libre and The Capital Grille right across the Pointe Orlando alleyway, the interior could use some rethinking.
Below are photos of what I had.
Ahi Poke Napoleon: capers, sesame, guacamole, flatbread
Blackened fish reuben sandwich: marble rye, russian dressing, asian slaw, fries.
Seared ahi tuna with kale salad: lemongrass crust, edamame, corn, hearts of palm, mushrooms, pine nuts, tahini mian dressing.
Hawaiian style miso marinated black cod: bok choy, shiitake, sweet soy glaze
