Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, the #1 water park in the world, has begun doing special event as part of a cross-promotion with Disney Channel's newest movie Teen Beach Movie throughout the summer (till Sept 1). The Teen Beach Movie Dance Party will bring a retro feel to the beach at the park. Featuring a live DJ spinning contemporary remixes of retro beach themed tunes, beach games, and "bikers" and "surfers" (the two main groups from the movie) to party with the dance party will provide a great distraction from the already fun park.
Teen Beach Movie will premier on Disney Channel on Friday, July 19. The film features teen heartthrobs Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell as surfers Brady and McKenzie, whose quest for one last summer wave gets them sucked into a classic beach party movie, Wet Side Story. The duo are then forced to work together to get back to the present day but their lives might be changed forever after they accidentally change Wet Side Story's romantic story-line.
The Teen Beach Movie Dance Party is included in regular admission to Typhoon Lagoon. Activities at the party include relays on the sand, hula hoop spinning, water balloon and beach ball tossing along with the DJ controlled retro inspired music.
