The Winter Park Wawa is well under construction after breaking ground in Spring 2013. Most of the exterior construction done. The 6,119 sq ft store will feature an excessive 59 parking spaces, more than double the required number. A large 30 to 40 ft landscaped buffer along Orlando Ave will feature at least eight large palm trees helping block the store from the passing traffic. As with most large trees in Winter Park, the ones at the rear of the property will be preserved and integrated into the landscaping plan. There will also be five outdoor dining tables. There will be two access points form Orlando Ave, one from the parking lot next door at Flemings, and one in the rear from Webster Ave.
