The next “Urban Thought: Community-minded Conversations with Orlando’s Biggest Thinkers” event is Thursday, September 12 at Urban ReThink (625 E. Central Blvd., Orlando, FL 32801). Doors open for breakfast and networking at 7:45 a.m. and the program begins at 8am. Tickets can be purchased for $20, available online or at the door the morning of the event. Limited seating is available; proceeds benefit the Urban Think Foundation.

John M. Lewis is the Chief Executive Officer of LYNX, the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority. The regional transportation system has an operational coverage of more than 2,500 square miles serving Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. Currently at LYNX, Lewis is overseeing two design/build projects for the expansion of Orlando’s LYMMO Bus Rapid Transit Line and managing three additional Alternatives Analysis Studies for the 192 Corridor in Osceola County, Route 50 in Orange County, and the final segment of the LYMMO study (North/South alignment). LYNX is also working diligently to provide feeder service to the region’s first commuter rail line, SunRail.
