James Beard Awards Semifinalists From Florida


The 2014 James Beard Awards Semifinalist Announcement took place Wednesday February 19th at East End Market (3201 Corrine Drive). 

The James Beard Awards are the highest honor for food and beverage professionals working in North America. The awards are presented each spring at Lincoln Center and Gotham Hall in New York City. Nominees and winners are fĂȘted at a weekend of events in New York City that has become the social and gastronomic highlight of the year.

Susan Ungaro, President James Beard Foundation, announced the 2014 Semi-Finalists for Best Chef South and Best New Restaurant. 

Chef Norman Van Aken announced the 2014 Semi-Finalists for the "Rising Star" award, which go to Chefs under 30 "expected to do big things" in the future. 


Yvon Ros, James Beard Foundation announced the 2014 Semi-Finalists for the Oustanding Restaurant Award and the Outstanding Restauranteur Award.


Susan Ungaro, President James Beard Foundation, announced the 2014 Semi-Finalists for Outstanding Chef.
