On March 6th, from 6:30 – 9:30p.m., A&H’s Maitland Art Center’s “Culture Pop!” will mark the opening of Clyde Butcher’s photography exhibit, Nature’s Places of Spiritual Sanctuary. The event will also unveil installations by Michael Covello, Nathalie Chikhi, Jill Taffet, Unified Sounds and Danielle Deguglimo. Guests can enjoy live music by The Pauses, food from 4Rivers Smokehouse, drinks, films, literary readings and a print-making activity.
Referred to as the Ansel Adams of the Everglades, Clyde Butcher has earned recognition as the foremost landscape photographic artist in America today and has been honored by the state of Florida with the highest award that can be given to a private citizen: the Artist Hall of Fame Award. Butcher’s exhibit will be at the Maitland Art Center through May 17th and is sponsored by Davis & Grim and funded in part by Orange County Government through the Arts & Cultural Affairs program.
