Starting August 1, 2015, all beer and wine sales at the Orlando Farmers Market (Web) will be handled by World of Beer (Web) at 431 E Central Blvd, Orlando, FL 32801. The Daily City confirmed this with the General Manager of World of Beer.

World of Beer is a national craft beer tavern concept based in Tampa.

The contract is being lost by National Benefit Service Center dba earth’s best beverages. They won it in 2012 over World of Beer. Both years, both firms were the only ones that competed.

National Benefirt Service Center, in 2008, had a DBA called City Java (Info).

The farmers market takes place at Lake Eola Park at the corner of E. Central Blvd & N. Eola Drive.

World of Beer has the contract for a term of three (3) years with up to two (2) additional one (1) year extensions, which may be authorized by the Director of Purchasing, for a total of up to five (5) years.

Costs for World of Beer:

  • World of Beer will pay $30 per week to the Downtown Development Board to have presence at the market.
  • World of Beer must provide, at its own expense, an off-duty City of Orlando police officer to be stationed as assigned by DDB within the Farmers Market boundary to ensure that no alcohol is brought into, or removed from the Farmers Market area.
  • World of Beer agents o or employees are not allowed to shorts above the mid-thigh or tank tops.
  • $1,000,000 liquor liability insurance policy
  • $1,000,000 general commercial liability insurance policy
  • $500,000 automobile liability insurance
  • worker’s compensation insurance as required by Florida law

A Committee comprised of staff from the DDB, Business Development, Lake Eola Park, and a DDB board member, reviewed the proposals and selected World of Beer.

Only two firms competed for the contract: World of Beer and National Benefit Service Center dba earth’s best beverages.

The farmers market itself does not have an Alcohol License. It is the responsibility of the firm to secure and provide all necessary licenses for the operation of a Wine and Beer Garden at the farmers market

Alcohol sales and consumption are  restricted to the areas as shown below. This area may be moved at the discretion of the DDB.
