Publix Delivery is Here

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Publix is launching a one-hour $99/year fee-free (for orders over $35) grocery delivery service in early September. Users can order through the app or online.

The service will be available 7 days a week, 7am-10pm.

Publix is providing this service through a partnership with Shipt which is currently recruiting drivers in Sanford, Kissimee and Orlando.

Things they won't deliver:
  1. alcoholic beverages
  2. cigarettes
  3. smokeless tobacco
  4. cigars
  5. e-cigarettes
  6. propane tanks
No coupons allowed.

The price you see in the Shipt app is the price you pay. Delivery is free for members on orders over $35. Smaller orders are welcome, but a $7 delivery fee will be added to help cover the costs of shopping and delivery.

Shipt prices will vary slightly from in store prices to help cover the costs of picking, packing and processing. Customers can expect to pay about $5 more using Shipt than they would on a $35 order purchased in the store themselves. For example, a loaf of Wonderbread costs $2.29 in the store and $2.59 to have it delivered to your door using Shipt.

Tipping is not expected. However, if you wish to tip your Shopper, a tipping feature will be added soon to the app.
