Wondermade Ice Cream is Coming to Orlando

Wondermade, the Sanford-based marshmallow maker known all over he world (because they ship all over the world!) will be branching into shipping pints of ice cream.

They're already freezing and serving the ice cream at their store in Sanford. And since Wondermade has shipped tens of thousands of marshmallow orders to a dozen countries and every state in the US, it's a no brainer to also ship ice cream (or any sweet for that matter).

Keeping the ice cream cold during the journey isn't so hard. According to the owners "there's a long line of companies who use dry ice to ship frozen goods every day, all around America. We're using the same materials and processes they already use and we've spent time talking with shippers like DHL to be sure we understand the specifics of shipping frozen packages."

But they need the money for the following:
  1. Buy and install large blast freezers to super-freeze and store the pints of ice cream prior to shipment.
  2. Dry ice storage and specialized packaging to keep the ice cream frozen colder than ice while it's in transit.
  3. Ice cream packaging for the pints to cover the wide range of flavors we already offer.

The company is asking customers to fund this $11,500 effort through Kickstarter.

As of today they're half funded.
